Now, all I want is to be able to walk so I can lose some weight because I have put on quite a bit of weight over the past year, since my last long and horrible flare that started in August of 2013.
You may laugh at this (or others may laugh), but it takes everything I have to get on my little elliptical at home and do 125 steps forward and hen 125 steps backward. That's it. That's all I can do and even with that, my feet still hurt. I do take some ibuprofen right afterwards to try to knock down the immediate inflammation. But even doing those 250 steps makes me feel just a little bit less pathetic and a little bit more hopeful. Maybe you can just decide to play one song per day (or one piece, if you play classical). My granddaughter plays piano too, and she just loves to play and play and play, so I understand that it is difficult to just play one and then quit. But one is better than none. And you never know, you may be able to work up to two. Sending love and hugs your way.
I take Neurontin for fibromyalgia, ibuprofen, meloxicam and I have weed edibles at night for pain. I've tried every herbal or vitamin whatevers listed on websites. Nothing helps.
I can't even play a single song on oiano now. Not even a one minute piece.
I can't really have any other painkillers. Former addict, see.
JensyM, I'm so sorry that things are so bad for you right now. I can tell you have a passion for the piano. Would you ever consider teaching it? I guess if you did that, you would have to start with intermediate students so you wouldn't have to actually play to demonstrate. I just hope you can find something, anything, to bring that same joy back into your life.
