I was doing 25-30% better while on Humira until my last two shots. Shots #10 and 11. The day following each shot I had an excruciating migraine and vomiting, the 11th shot the vomiting lasted all day. That was this last Tuesday. Those two shots happened to be the first two I gave in my stomach, not sure if it's related, but probably just coincidence? The 11th shot left a bruise type mark which I had never had before either.
I had to go to the ER for the migraine the first time it happened. Now I don't think I can bring myself to do another shot of it. Actually, I know I can't do another shot of it. I would rather be dead than go through that again. Not sure what my Rheumie will do now? I've already been a failure on Enbrel and all the other 1st line meds.
I called him during the first attack to see if they could call me in something for the migraine pain - they called back and told me to take Excedrin Migraine...of course I ended up in the ER. I've had many migraines before, but never had to resort to the ER like this one. I was afraid I was going to have a stroke. I kept checking that my smile was even on both sides in the mirror.
I just wanted to let you guys know my experience with it - maybe this hasn't happened to anyone else? Just had to tell someone about it who might understand. Thanks for listening.

Our immune systems are such fickle creatures. No telling what they'll do when they decide not to tolerate a med anymore. Immune cells just don't read the textbooks.
Hope you find a treatment that works and your body agrees with.
I think this might be worth reporting to the manufacturer of Humira.
FYI, I called the Humira support line when I had my "alarming" injection site reaction (HUGE, hot, red, non-itchy, raised welt), hoping for some advice, but the nurse merely recorded the information and told me to call my doctor. (I had already called my doctor but hadn't heard back from him yet.) So if you do call Humria, don't expect any helpful advice -- but please let us know if they do offer any words of wisdom.
