I have observed this phenomenon ever since my monster flare in 09. I have short lived flares when inclement weather is on the way. The more joints involved - the more severe the front will be. My reputation quickly spreads through school and I'll have students I don't even know come and ask my 'betting odds on snow/ice'.

How many of you are human barometers too?

(Disclaimer: I also have as many grad hours in meteorology as most TV meteorologists. But I noticed the RA phenomenon before I took those course)

I have long noticed this phenomenon, and it is the main reason I detest winter & cold weather in general. Thankfully I live in the South so winters are usually mild & short. I find the longer the cold front lasts the harder it is to get out of bed.

i noticed this after developing degenerative arthritis in a toe (yes, just one toe) when it was shattered in a car accident. on an aside, really, who breaks the middle phalanx of their middle toe as a passenger in a car wreck?

but, yes. i live on long island where humidity changes faster than we can keep up with. when the humidity drops a lot in a short period of time, my toe seems to hurt more than usual. i haven't had my ra dx long enough to see how anything else is affected.

Just have to say that snow fronts have become a love-hate relationship. I love them because I'm a teacher - hate them because I'm all swelled up and can't move until they've passed...

Before DMARDs I could tell you within 4 hours if it was going to participate. Whether or not it was predicted.
I live on Lake Erie so in the winter snow can come with wind shifts.
It still affects me, but I don't know if I just ignore it more or I have tuned it out. Or if meds have just made it a titch better.
Our weather is so erratic, it is annoying.

for a new englander i don't care what the weather does since it changes every 4 hours). it works out since I am not in receipt of the weather stick to change the goddess' mind :) well most of the time. i get stuck frequently at work or home shoveling wise because I don't pay attention. between the heat, humidity, rain, and snow i realize it aint the place for my joints. but i can't imagine having a flare free month anyway.

I feel it. Used to be any real dampness or humidity changes & my body would start.
This winter has been the toughest. I have no clue how much the weather is effecting me but never hurt this bad since my DX.
The cold hits my joints & they freeze in position. Like pop cycles.
Jeez I'm in the wrong state for sure. Northern snowbird
First year I've not decorated for holiday, I can't get excited. Never ever did I think this would or could happen to me.

I have traveled in 37 states for 14 years and have realized in the most harshest way possible that the weather does impact me. I do think that the weather impacts each of us in some manner, be it a bit or a bunch. Just another small unique item that makes us all different -
