Just had my first humira injection today! Interested in how long it took to feel a difference for others.. I'm hoping for some relief soon!

Felt the effects in 3 days. Know that's not typical, but realized that I was gripping the steering wheel with both hands for the first time in months. It's been great for me, hope it works as well for you.

I just got news that I have been declined for Humira for the 2nd time! UGH!

My Rheumy prescribed it but insurance won't pay... I tried the Abbvie Assistance Program and got declined because I HAVE insurance! ... Even though they won't PAY for it...


Just filed one last ditch effort with the Abbvie foundations "exceptions" department and gave them an out of pocket cost for medical care...

FINGERS CROSSED!!! I REALLY NEED TO GET ON HUMIRA!!! :/

I guess it's too expensive? They will only cover Simponi, but the Dr. prescribed Humira, so I want the meds the Dr. thinks will work, not the meds the INSURANCE COMPANY just wants to pay for! :/

both humira and simponi are anti-TNF drugs. if the insurance co will cover simponi, will your rheumy let you try that? maybe if you try simponi and it *doesn't* work, then you can submit poof of that to your insurance co and they might cover humira.

Yeah, they will let me get Simponi, but the insurance company won't approve Humira until I try Simponi.

I will hear back next week about the assistance program. If I STILL don't get approved, I will try the Simponi.

Simponi is supposed to be pretty good, so if you can't get Humira now, you still may find great relief in Simponi. My rheumatologist stacked Humira, Enbrel, and Simponi into the same camp and let me choose from those three.
