Rheumatoid Arthritis Support Group
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. It is a disabling and painful condition which can lead to substantial loss of mobility due to pain and joint destruction. The disease is also systemic in that it often also affects many extra-articular tissues throughout the body including the skin, blood vessels, heart, lungs, and...
however, the nausea and night sweats are not something that i've had with RA - only with other illnesses. you may want to call your rheumy for advice or set up an appointment with your GP for testing. is perimenopause a possibility? or have you recently started any other medication, like an antidepressant?
I have spurts of sleepless nights. In part the prednisone & in part pain.
Hips wake me a lot & lately my big toe.
If on prednisone I sweat like crazy. Feels like I'm in an oven.
Really should run this by your doctor.
It's more stress not knowing.
Nausea comes with pain for me & some reflux.
Best to be safe. Hope you get some answers & sleep. Hard enough being exhausted with sleep.
Let us know if you get any where with the doctor.
Wishing you luck.

I also have to get up to go to the bathroom a lot and every time it's a battle to get back into bed because I know the pain will keep me from sleeping...
Yet, with all of that, I am still SO exhausted that ALL I want to do is sleep :(
I also get night sweats on a regular basis. I wake up and the sheets are soaked! I don't know what to do to make them stop. :/
Your doctor can prescribe Zofran for terrible nausea and you can take prevacid or similar to help it too.
For the sweating - what time do you take prednisone? Maybe change that. And if you can, decrease how much you take.
If you think it's glucose related, (although prednisone is number 1 suspect), you can eat a small meal before bed (simple carb with protein). that would stave away a dropout of glucose. But this should get checked.
