Hello Everyone!
Until recently (April of this year) I was very active. Zumba twice a week, my first 5K marathon, (which was AWESOME) and walking regulary. However, since April my RA has returned with a vengeance and I am too tired to do any physical activity. I think I would be capable of doing light activities but working and taking care of my family exhausts me! What kind of exercise do you do when you're feeling tired all the time?
Have a good day!

I usually do a marathon.............Of my favorite TV show, or football. Just kidding. When I'm really bad I hit an easy hiking trail in nature. All the other times I ride my bike or walk. Good Luck.

Ventor, you're funny and I actually needed the laugh! I usually do the same. That is.... a marathon of my favorite tv shows! Thanks!

I just started physical therapy in a pool. Three years ago I climbed a mountain, worked out regularly, then got RA. Now is the first time since my Diagnosis, I feel well enough to do anything. My meds are finally working well enough to try and do something! Now I am in terrible shape.

I do Arthritist therapy in a pool. The water is great in supporting my weight. I can do things in the pool I would never attempt on land. Immediately after I go in the steam room for heat to keep from getting stiff. I wish my gym had a whirlpool. There are times when Im too tired to go. I allow myself to relax. Usually exhaustion is my RAs way of letting me know a flare up is on the way.

Wow! I'm loving the idea of pool activities! I know someone that has been taking a class for aqua Zumba. I didn't think about it until you guys mentioned about the pool. Thanks and I wish you all well!

The inability to exercise is frustrating for me too. I used to exercise a lot. In fact I was walking daily with my neighbor when the RA finally made that impossible. I got an exercise bike. Right now I am on prednisone so I am able to do the bike. Usually any activity causes my ankles to become inflamed. I tried to swim a lot this summer. I would like to do indoor pool things, but the only indoor pools around don't really welcome children at the same time (or ever at some of the facilities), and I have a ten year old daughter that I homeschool so we are always together. At some point, I will have to go that way I suppose. But right now I am still hoping that meds will work so I can resume walking. I just started Humira Tuesday (I've not had success for different reasons on other med choices).
