Hey Its Foggy

I am slowly seeing my way out of the fog today...it's the day after my Methotrexate injection and my wee brain is finally clearing up. It used to annoy me-being slower, word searching, trying to stay on task-after Methotrexate. I thought it would clear up with using injections but it actually seems worse.

So I am just going with it. I nap on the commuter train, write notes to keep me on track at work, tune out annoying people, close my eyes in the staff lounge at lunchtime and order pizza for dinner when I am making my way home on the train. It is an imperfect solution but life is imperfect so I am just going with that thought. I hate to waste a whole day of my weekend losing out to the fog so now I am embracing it as my own personal Wobbly Wednesday and I am not going to stress about it anymore.

As to the injections, I will say that my hand/knuckle swelling has been reduced to half and I can move my wrists again..so yay! for injections.

I too just started Methotrexate injections. I love it that my tummy is better, but, you are right.... The fog is thick, real thick!! I too have succumb to the fact that life could be worse!!

Glad your hand is getting better! Hope you stay positive as you are and keep move'n forward!!

Hi Redpoppy, The brain fog is ubiquitous with RA and the meds. And to think back in my college youth I used to seek out a similar brain fog for fun. Hah, the past revisited upon me forever. Now I'm 62 and hate it. There's a full moon tonight. I see it out my window. I am amazed you can go to work. I can't walk much, vision too fuzzy to drive beyond the nearby, and fatigue too debilitating. I'm pretty useless.

Haha Jane. I remember those 'brain fogs for fun' days and now I am wistful for my younger, sweeter self who was so strong both physically and mentally. I miss her, I really do.

But there is no turning back the clock so I look forward to spring and my perennials that will start appearing next month. I am pleased about my hands, they were so thick and painful for about a month, that I could not wear some of my leather gloves.

Here's to a stressless joint day tomorrow!
