Studies have shown that having support when confronted can be a tremendous help. In fact, I think that was the very reason DS was first started!

We do get most of it, although we are all unique. No one who hasn't suffered from RA, or been a care giver really gets how bad this disease is.

Absolutely true, Marlene.

I've been down and out with a cold and infectious bronchitis for almost two weeks now. It exacerbated my COPD. If it wasn't for my COPD support group, I would have just curled up in bed.......and gotten worse. But they encouraged me to go to Urgent Care and get nebulizer treatments and a Z pack. Now I'll never again be without a script for Z-packs and rescue inhalers. [I'm taking my COPD more seriously.]

Gosh, this is definitely the cold from hell in southern CA.

I am a big fan of support groups. Got me the worst of it with this disease and liver disease. I recommend DS to many, or finding an online support if not here.
