I just love my new rheumy! He was kind and actually listend to everything I said. He looked through my file of the last five years, and then examined me. He told me right off it was RA not question. He said I should have been diagnosed and been on meds five years ago.

He told me that meds would not fix any current bone erosion that I might have, but he encouraged me by saying the meds would help prevent further damage.

He did blood work of course and xrays. He told me I would come back in 2 weeks and go over my labs, that is when he would start me on once a week methotrexate injections. He started me on celebrex today.
I've never taken any meds...I'm a bit nervous about this, as I'm very sensitive to meds.

I think I have known for five years I had RA...I'm not thrilled with the diagnosis, but at least now I know whats up with my body, and its not just "old age" I'm a fighter, and fully intend to fight.
