Heat 2 cups light unsweetened coconut milk (or almond or soymilk) with 1 tablespoon peeled, grated fresh ginger and 1 tablespoon peeled, grated fresh turmeric and 3-4 black peppercorns. Bring to a simmer and simmer covered for 10 minutes. Strain and sweeten to taste (if desired).

using food for general joy - my favorite topic :) - I love flax milk you guys - good karma carries it where I am - and it blends into many items i consume without dominating - including my shakes and virgin milk toddies :) - if you happen to have not tried it yet.

I have NOT tried it. If I do it would be without the pepper I think. I too have heard lots of good things about tumeric and using it as much a possible on and in as many foods as possible. I do eat ginger and use almond milk, occasionally cashew milk or oat milk.

and yes, I could/should add tumeric to my kale/spinach, pea protein powder, strawberry and banana smoothie!!!

this would be made all the better with bluedogs or alto around to complain about the recipe in jest.

This sounds yummy:) I add it to my green smoothies and bone broth drinks. I found fresh organic Tumeric at my local health food store:)
