how about:
like a scared-y cat
or like a mouse
- lose the "little girl" and I'm OK with it :)
while we are talking about pain management - I need a second read of my recent pelvis/back MRI - I drank my coffee while watching this lecture this morning and I thought her viewpoints at stressing NON malignant back pain about 300 times in the presentation and the words about pain being normal - i wonder if this doctor could make it through 7 days with RA....wonder what others of you think:

Funny-not so much I guess. I need to remember to read vs. post. Doesn't work out for me so well. I don't want to re-write what was said because I didn't write it.
I'm thinking these docs all read the same articles in journals and get influenced by the flavor of the month treatment strategy. I've noticed a remarkable change in treatment lately, and plan to find a new doc. Just hope I don't run into the same problems.
Now I had to think about this one but I'd hope we are all solid enough in our support to respect each other's comments, opinions, etc.......
I'll take it as meant.
Meaning fully agree doctors do not want to touch conditions/diseases causing chronic &/or hard to control pain.
Including doctors who specializing in the disease.
Now from past conversations with doctors & others governmental changes have a lot to do with this. Yet it's still a choice the doctor makes & no freaking way does a Rheumy not know the pain that can accompany this disease.
So first thing I have to say us shame on them.
If a patient is suffering then at least help that patient find a doctor who will treat their pain.
As we've said over & over no way can anyone understand unless they live in a body with chronic pain levels that do not respond to OTC meds or therapy.
Easy enough to give an opinion when you don't live that life.
Any doctor that has empathy & will not watch a patient suffer is worth their weight in gold. Rarity today.
Now I'm a women who does not tolerate BS from any man. In fact my husband has a friend who feels women should be led by the hand & pretty much do as told. We do not get a long at all. Slipped one day & told him to keep his mouth & opinions to himself in my presence.
Although memories of my daughter at a younger age crying over a speck of dirt on her shirt & such is enough to take the comment at face value.
Now I only have one grandson although raised with kids all my life. Call it nature but in general girls I think are more emotional at a certain age. On no way does that mean we are not capable or strong.
Raising/raised my girls (trying anyway) to be independent & strong.
To value who they are above all.
That member should hang tight to that PCP.
I'd love to know if she's been with this doctor a long time.
Trust matters. Although new laws scare doctors.
My PM retired in large part because of all the restrictions & changes with treating patients who have chronic pain. Very sad that we all suffer based on those who make bad choices.
