Hello All!
I've just recently joined and having already looked around I can see this is a great place to chat with people in similar situations. I was diagnosed in April this year with RA and as a result have gone through a medical board which found me unfit to continue serving in the military. As a result I'm transitioning out and back into the civilian world but finding myself stressed and frustrated which definitely isn't helping matters much.
A few months ago I started the humira shots and they were like miracles to begin with. There was a period of two weeks where the combination of humira and plaquenil meant that I was waking up completely pain free and I was finally able to go for a run! However the past month has been absolutely horrible with the most recent issue being my hips completely hurting to the point where sitting or walking is painful.
Unfortunately I can't go see my Rheumatologist while in this transition phase so I find myself at a lost.
Has anyone using Humira had this happen where it started working and then after awhile nothing?

But it was wonderful while it lasted. I was taking methotrexate with it as well.

I'm sorry to hear you are in pain again. RA is such an emotional roller coaster!! I remember having a mini breakdown when the humira stopped working for me, because I almost forgot what it was like to be in pain. Hang in there. The good news is there are other medications available. I really like Enbrel so far!
