Rheumatoid Arthritis Support Group
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. It is a disabling and painful condition which can lead to substantial loss of mobility due to pain and joint destruction. The disease is also systemic in that it often also affects many extra-articular tissues throughout the body including the skin, blood vessels, heart, lungs, and...

You don't mention what meds you are currently taking but most of the meds take some time to start working so you may not be feeling any benefit from them as of yet. I think it is entirely reasonable and standard care procedure to at least do x-rays at the time of diagnosis. I would ask your rheumy about getting them done ASAP.
It is common for mornings to be hard for people with RA. The joints are stiff and sore and it takes at least an hour for that wear off some. Sometimes it lasts all day. For me, I find once I start moving around some it improves some but not completely. It can be maddening how the disease can change from day to day for each of us.
I hope you are able to find information and support you need on the board. There any many kind and knowledgeable people her to listen and offer support. Never be afraid to ask questions of vent. That is what we are here for.~Lori
I like having a place like this to come to. I don't want to put my woes all over facebook or bug my friends, family, or husband about it. They just keep telling me to quit worrying and quit googling. I have never really been sick or had to deal with something like this, so it is a bit overwhelming. At least with my back problems, I knew when it got bad enough surgery would most likely help and it did. I felt wonderful for the past 3 years, now this.
It is awesome to read others posts and have a place to talk, vent, ask questions, etc. I also think it will be helpful to have a place to journal about what is happening.
I had to start a new profile after the changes were made here, I just added a 2 at the end of the name, lol.
