Hi! I hope everyone had a great New Year celebration! Question....I have been getting cold feet off and on for about a month now and it's getting worse! It started out just every now and then but now it's all the time! I end up having to wrap my feet in a heating pad! My feet are not discolored and they don't hurt, they just feel like someone put bags of ice on them and nothing helps except a heating pad. I'm only taking 1/2 prednisone and savella. I use Remicade and am up for an infusion next week. Does ANYONE have this problem? I googled it and it said it could be heart related but I exercise and have not had any problems there. Anyway....it's so frustrating! Thanks!

any sweat? well I get lovely, horribly sweaty cold feet, best thing for me, is 'smart wool' socks. really warm, but very breathable so less sweat. keeps my feet dry and toasty, mostly anyway :)

Mine are like blocks of ice, too! Like you, socks alone are not enough and I am considering soaking them n warm water. Just took my body temp and it's 97.8 F (normally low anyway, at 98.0). It's 59 outside, 75 inside.

My feet are warm inside shoes but in socks alone, they get cold. The one thing that seems to benefit but only at night, is to put a quilt or blanket in the dryer for 15min on medium and then put that around me and my feet to sleep.
Doesn't solve any daytime issues though.

Hope you find a trick that works.

I think Gaiam has slippers with rewarmable inserts.
Until Cymbalta, I was a freeze baby. Now, I feel menopausal at 33.
I am hoping I feel normal once I am weaned off.

Sorry you cannot warm your tootsies up! I too have cold feet and hands. I have a normal body temp of about 97.4. When it gets to supper time I am tired out and get cold real fast.

I live in MN and hate hate hate cold. Hubbie won't move to sunny San Diago. So, guess where I am vacationing again this winter!!??!! Of course he goes with....... Go figure that out. Hehe

Does your fingers get white and then to purple?? That's what Ranauds is all about. Mine is just plain cold :(.

Lifeis2short - My feet also are cold all the time. This just started with my last flare. They seem to do ok at bedtime when I wear 2 pairs of heavy socks and sleep under a down comforter. If I wear the super-thick whool socks to work I do ok there too. Otherwise, feet are painfully cold.

Thank everyone for the replies. It's weird because I'm actually Not having a flare right now. Afriel...no sweating at all. I've even tried 2 pairs of socks but they are still cold. They don't change color at all. I guess it must just be a part of the RA. Take care everyone!

I got this heating pad that goes across the foot of the bed for my brother, he loves it. A Sunbeam electric foot warming pad.
http://www.comforthouse.com/el2.html?feed=ysw and I bought him a pair of the Hot Sox, he says they work great to keep his feet warm, he has even put the Hot Sox on his hands. If the link don't work for the heating pad go to www. comforthouse.com and search for foot warming pad, it costs $39.95. His feet are ice cold 24/7 in summer and winter no matter what the temperature is.
