Feeling like I have been run over by a truck!

Up until a few days ago I have felt wonderful. Once I started the Otrexup (MTX) shots a few months ago I started feeling better. I started Enbrel Sept 17th and have done. A few days ago I started to feel really bad. I hoped the pain was just a matter of it getting close to time for my next series of shots and I would feel better afterwards. I am still so sore. My hands are even swollen and hurt which they haven't bothered me in weeks. Our weather here has been flip-flopping so I don't know if that could be the cause. I have been very lucky as I have had no side effects from either of the medications. I know that Enbrel can take up to 6 months to work but I feel like I have taken a major step back since I was doing so good. Anyone else have a similar experience? It is so frustrating!

I've definitely noticed that as the weather switches around indecisively (as it often does in Pennsylvania...humid and 80 one day, 40 degrees and dry the next morning), my RA goes a little nuts, like it's not quite sure how to react. Humid days are awful for my inflammation, cold and dry days are worse on my pain and OA-like symptoms.

I've also had that "run over by a truck" feeling lately! There were days recently that I spent half the time in bed, where just getting through my minimum daily reading for classes drained the life out of me completely (even with my Adderall for ADHD). However, now that the weather is taking a firmer turn towards autumn, I don't feel like my eyes are practically swollen shut in the mornings anymore.

Keep your chin up! You can't control the weather or your body's reaction to it, but the mindset is all on you. (:

it its time for your enbrel and it's time for your weekly mtx, it is common to feel crappy or crappier or crappiest (choose one) :) before re-up time. i seem to want to choose like i can't possibly figure this out every month with the orencia but my friends can without looking at my calendar. you'll notice the ebb and flow of treatment
