It's been a long time since I've posted. I have been on Humira with MTX for a year and I have felt GREAT. The only side effect I have is some occasional fatigue. When it hits, it hits hard for about 2 days after the Humira injection. I take the injection every other week on the same day of the week I take the MTX which is on Friday so I can have a "down" weekend if I need to.
Today the fatigue is awful. I haven't had fatigue this bad for a couple months. It's awful. I was at the gym this morning thinking I could "power through it", but after a short time at the gym I realized I had made a mistake. By that time I was so weak and light headed I was afraid if I got off the bike I would collapse. I came home and slept and now I am resting on the couch.
My bf is so supportive but I find it challenging to communicate what is going on with me. Sometimes I try and sometimes I just keep my mouth shut. I feel like I'm walking into a 30 mile an hour headwind.
I just wanted to post. I want everyone who reads this to know that there are treatments out there that work well. I have very little inflammation and zero pain unless I do something stupid, like try to run at the gym (did that on Friday) then I have self induced pain the next two days. I know what my limits are and sometimes I push them and they push back....lol

sorry the fatigue hit you after such a great run. i hope that you bounce much sooner than later.
kudos on hitting your right course of treatment and feeling the tangible benefits for so long. your sharing uplifts us.
we know its hard to get the right words to talk about how we feel to those that support us. i give up sometimes also. i sometimes describe this as walking in cement. your headwind analogy works also.
