Eye pain with movement

I have begun to experience sudden sharp eye pain when I look around it's not all the time it comes and goes but a bit of aching stays around. Anyone have a clue if it could be something from RA? I know I may have to go to the eye DR. But wondered if anyone has had similar problem and what it turned out to be. It's not associated with head ache. But this time of year I guess it could be some sinus pressure although I haven't been having much trouble with that I've been cooped up inside from my knee surgery.

Defiantly get to the eye doc. Could be dry eyes. I have this, and did not go to the Eye Doc until the watering, itchiness and stinging became unbearable. Part of the moisture that we are supposed to have is a type of mucus, when your tear ducts don't produce enough, your eyes will sting, turn red, and water constantly ( no mucus, so all the watering does't help). My understanding is that this is fairly common with RA.
I used to go to the eye doc evert three months and get little plugs put in my tear ducts. The cost and all those extra appointments where making me crazy. Now I use Restais, it helps a lot. Dry eye thing is bothersome, and I believe my vision is getting worse.
Good luck, just one more weird thing to deal with.

It feels like a muscle pain almost like a Charlie horse in my eye ball. Does that sound like what dry eye from RA would do? I was dealing with eye infection last summer in both eyes which would clear up for a long time lots of eye drops and that feels like it may be coming back too but it didn't give me muscle eye pain so I don't kno wat to think.

I started to get right eye pain about two years ago. The eye specialist I was referred to told me blepheratiis 'leading to scleritis". I didnt have much confidence in him but followed the bleparitis regime and it worked in the medium turn. The pain was/is stabbing and worse at night.

Have some eye pain at present and find voltaren drops which prescribed when my own doctor thought it might be ra related is the best solution. He will give me any medication I ask for within reason although not new stuff for RA as that has to be specialist prescribed first.

Our eyes can get dry so perhaps while waiting you could see if optician supplied lubricant drops help.

Fortunately no eye pain, but have had dry eyes and occasionally minor subconjunctiful hemorrhages (broken blood vessel in the white of the eye). I hope your pain is resolved soon and no lasting damage.

It could be allergies from dust and pollen being brought in by someones shoes and clothes to your indoor sanctuary..but the eye dr is a good start to see if something else is going on..but couldn't your body have waited for another problem till the first one was all cleared up!

today I am spending my time seconding the suggestions of 51percent. keep in mind auto-immunes run in packs and the optha should be able to detect if you're also diabetic.. hope not but dang sure better get checked.
