I\'ve been getting enberol shots for almost a year, yet this last month, my arthritis has been worse. I use to get the shot once a week, now I get it every 5 day\'s. I still have to rely on prednisone when my hand gets this bad. I haven\'t had any noticable side affects from it, maybe it\'s because it\'s not working.

hi doug, ive been using enbrel for over than 5 years. its been working for me, but i do use other medications as well.i use a 50mm suringe every wednesday. it used to be two of those shots per week, but my docor lowered my doses. i use emla to numb the area where i inject. so far i have no side effects due to the enbrel.when the pain gets to be too much im put on a 5 day bost (prednasone). that regulates my arthritis and then im back to \"normal\".

I started Enbrel in August, once a week, and it started working pretty much right away. I also take 17.5mg of methotrexate but I was able to wean off of prednisone and so far I feel good. I hope it stays this way!

Oh I miss my enbrel so much, I am on Humeria now. When I was taing Enbrel I felt so good as far and my joint were concerned and my flaring was so much better even, but I got sick alot, colds, flus, bronchitis that my RA doctor was concerned that it wasnt the one for me, so I had to stop taking it :(

I gave myself my first Enbrel shot this past Tuesday. Wednesday was horrible and I was in bad all day. Take it before a day that you can stay in bed if needed.

If my ins. co. will pay I start Enbrel shots next week & I'm scared to death. Don't know if I can do it and am very concerned about the side effects. Any recommendations for the first one??????????

Just wanted to say that I finished my fourth Enbrel injection today and am beginning to feel like a new person. Of course, I know its early but I had pain relief within the first week of my first injection.

A few side effects....only 1 shot caused an injection site reaction (redness, bruising for a few days), have been fatigued (but this could still be the RA at work), a couple headaches, heartburn and nausea (a day or so after the injection).

I know this lowers my resistance to infections, etc, so I will keep an eye on that. So far so good!

I am corrently trying the Warp Speed Weight Loss plan which seems to be working for me.
