I'm not sure how to write this -or really anything for that matter. Having been diagnosed with fibromyalgia while still in college, I've persevered even through pain, aches, and some memory issues, fatigue ANC pain got worse, and was diagnosed with seuronegative RA. The biologic I was taking didn't seem to help much, but through the help of a great volunteer, I managed to squeak through the rest of the school year. This summer I kept things low-key, taking no courses, hoping the break would help the fatigue and fogginess. Things didn't improve after summer break. A hew biologic was added to methotrexate, Sulfazadine, and low dose Prednisone. In addition to being so worn out, I felt like a flakey zombie memory issues are worse, even visual and kinesthetic. I feel clunky when talking, forget words, am distractible. I lack the energy and creative, cognitive skills to do my job I forget what am to say or do. I feel I am shortchanging my students. How long can I pretend at school?im always fatigued and never felt rested . The rheumatoigist seems to put full emphasis on. Blood tests. And not on the fatigue, lack of mental clarity I pray that the new biologic will address things, particularly a clearer thought process , energy to b e a stimulating teacher. A sleep study was done last fall. Prior surgery for deviated septum helped, but still not getting those crucial deep sleep numbers. I felt like I was dismissed from neuro because I didn't qualify for Sleep apnea
Do I insist on a cognitive functioning test?who would I talk to? Expectations? I feel such like a fake at my job and even basic socalization
Has anyone gone through significant fog, fatigue, and pain, and how did the diagnose and treat it?
