I just received my reminder card for my routine colonoscopy. How on earth will I get through that? It will be my third one- just routine. Of course I will discuss it with my rheumy next week and with the performing doc. But how will I manage to sit on that toilet for 8 hours?!

But here's an idea...how about treating yourself to a padded toilet seat? The very least you can do to make it easier!
My daughter just had her second one(she's 40 but has ulcerative colitis) and said this time it took longer to kick in and cleaned her out faster than before so perhaps the prep has gotten better and you don't spend that long on the toilet as you did before. Really inflamed her hemerhoids but she got good news so it was worth it(UC was gone!). But she was heading into needing them every 2 years and we talked about getting her a nice padded toilet seat and she agreed.
