Dr is crazy and a idiot

Hi.friends I have not been on here in along time due to illness. I live in Fairbanks Alaska we finally got a RA Dr here a few years ago. I see him about every 3 months. I take humira at the time.I have RA, Gravies Disease, Glaucoma in both eyes my right is a lot worse I have several ocular migraines a week if I'm driving I have to stop. Tested positive ANA twice. My bones feel like they are on fire with extreme fatigue. Several infections Hep A, Staph, sinus, Strep A and mrsa The Dr visit yesterday was disgusting to me. Told me that I need to lose weight which I need too .Gained 20 lbs in the last few months due to thyroid issues . Told me to stop taking anit acids which I never took . I asked for a dr note for my work and he said next time with a smirk come in earlier so I don't miss any work (really) and sent me out the door with no help at all. I felt like slapping him oh ya he told me the fatigue and no sleep comes from being a women that we have a lot on our minds that keep us from sleeping enough, wish he could of reed my mind at the time. I also had a MRI done for the headaches have a bad sinus infection at the time eye it all swollen ,and they found 3 aneurysm.. Trying to figure out what options i have for applying for ssi and ssdi . I know this long but any thoughts on what to do? Hope everybody is feeling good. Marie

Drop him!
...and report him to his superiors. If he is his own boss, report him to the state. This won't make much difference, really, but it may one day be important that you protested your treatment.

I would go back to your PCP, and have them treat you, and do lots of research so that you can help your PCP make choices that are good for you.

As for the SSI, or SSSI, check and see if lawyers in your state receive set compensation, and no futher hold on you income, then hire one. You need to stop work ASAP, and a lawyer is the fastest way to get approved. Otherwise, I would say to apply once yourself and see.

I do not know if any Rheumy from father away would be willing to assist your PCP, but it would be great if they could look into that.

I was in Fairbanks once. It is a beautiful place, but still a small town that can be a long way away from other docs. I' m with ink on this, this doc is not going to help you. He could even harm you. Get back to you PCP ASAP.

I second getting a lawyer to help you with disability. It's the fastest and easiest way. I would definitely drop that doctor as well!

From a background in legal services. I concur about retaining an attorney for disability. They are more efficient than doing it yourself, get results quicker and you likely will not be denied 3 times before a court hearing is mandated. It takes so much stress off the plate.

He sounds like he is burned out...ask him if this is what is going on. Does he remember the oath he took? It was to do no harm. You can then refer him to me. Unfortunately my specialty is treating health care providers who have burned out.
