I've spent quite of time on planes lately and I've not noticed any difference. Benefit......since I'm tired all of the time I don't even notice the jet lag. :).

I only fly once a year. I haven't noticed any connection.

I had a very hard time flying before my meds got some control over my RA. Now, I think the long walks in airports are much worse than the flight.

as lynne stated I agree, the "approach" kills. all the airlines have a function for registering pre flight as disabled and requesting a wheelchair push arrival to and from gate and even down jetway to seat. use it if you can not otherwise walk. if you have never used it it may kill you emotionally. use it anyway.

also wear: braces, wrists, splints and take the stupid cane. don't be vain. take and use (emergency) pain meds. praise yourself that you are going forward. if it aint work maybe a family helper travel companion is going with you.

think of the look on your loved one's face if traveling for family. or the dollar signs on your paycheck. or your kid waiting on the other end.

i get extra pain, a lot of it, but the above stuff helps ameliorate
