Several years ago, after my MVA and fibro dx, I was having a really hard time learning to adapt to the fact that i could no longer carry on like I was "superwoman". I felt guilty, disappointed, stressed and angry at myself for not being able to do all the things I used to do without any problems. I just couldn't accept this new "me". It took a long time for me to be comfortable with the mountains of laundry, disorganized office and home, full dishwasher, and dirty bathrooms (don't get me wrong, I don't live in squalor but my house always looks lived in!) I was angry at myself and angry at the world for making me like this. The best thing that ever happened to me was seeing a psychologist for PTSD management - she taught me anger management and stress reduction techniques and also how to feel comfortable with the new "me". That was ten years ago, and I still feel that way.
It's good that you felt you could come here and tell us about how you are feeling. We all need to vent when we need to, and rejoice our little victories. Take it easy on yourself, you are not a failure, you are only human! Lots of gentle hugs ~ Kim
I think many of us been in same position as well, this is so natural when you are not just tired but exhausted to go somewhere and face people, talk or smile... All this seems like a chores which is not doable at that point.
And I also noticed if I push myself still to do what I feel I can't - I end up paying a big price with more exhausting, frustration, depression and sleeping for 16 hours...
So rest and enjoy your little time alone...
Hugs and blessings, Moldova
