I really hesitate to ask this but here goes.....
I am taking Preidnisone, 6 MTX tablets once a week and Humira injections twice a month but in the last week my urine and feces has a horrible chemical smell and it actually burns my skin!! I have to use wet wipes and antiobotic ointment afterwards. I am afraid of getting an infection. Has anybody else had this problem? I will ask my Rhuemy next week and she what she says but wanted input from you guys.

I'm fortunate enough to live in the boonies which carries with that the glory of being able to pee off my porch whenever I want without any possibility of anyone seeing me. Since being on Methotrexate, there is a patch of grass next to my porch that is totally dead. Not only that, but the brown dirt has turned black. I've only noticed this since being on the MTX. Since being on Humira and Enbrel, I notice a very distinct strong odor now also.
It really makes me think about these chemicals in my body when I look at that patch of grass that is dead.......
Cost like $20.

There are changes in my bodily functions.
Not to the degree your experiencing but they are there.
For me infections are a concern. Rare in the past but seems I'm more susceptible now. UTIs are a concern.
I'd would sure inquire.
