MTX brings the fatigue or it did for me. After about 3 weeks all the side effects for me were gone - never had it as bad as most, but the fatigue - wow
Hope you get better soon

I have been on mtx pills for some years and to answer your question I think my tiredness ebbs and flows in a downhill sort of way. I am tired more often now than I was seven years ago but I am a lot older and into those years tagged with Significant Side Effects.... You are heaps younger and so shouldnt be so tired. On the other hand you are a nurse!!! Not exactly an untaxing job...
I cant remember what else you do or take in terms of this disease but given it was your first injection maybe things will improve when your body adjusts. I wonder if it is worth trying those overnight liver herb pills - have the thistle herb which supposed to be good and sometimes clears my brain a bit when I am feeling blah. The ones I get dont interact with allopathic drugs negatively.
Whatever the ills of mtx I have had significant good periods while on it. I think it is failing me now (after four steady years - started, taken off, then re tried) but I recognise its value as well as its yukky-next-day downside.
I'm pretty sure it is the MTX that hit me so bad the last few days. I have had general fatigue for months but not like this. Anytime I move around too much (which is actually very little) all my muscles feel exhausted and shakey like I have done a major workout. My limbs feel very heavy.
Hopefully it will get better in time.
