The Humira injections make me feel cold as well. I have those days where I feel ill and like a fever is starting but it doesn't. I just thought it was all related to my RA and not the meds. I don't have the burning hands thing though. I have a heaviness sometimes in my chest, but for me I think it is this chronic bronchitis problem that keeps popping up. The immune suppressing drugs are bringing out allergy issues for me that cause the bronchial cough. It isn't bad, it just won't go away. Sometimes it makes me feel a little wheezy, but that goes away too without me doing anything about it. The Humira is working for me so I hope all of these little side affects just find a way to disappear as they are more annoying for me than problematic. Hope things get better for you.

I feel like I have the flu a lot. I feel like I must have a fever, but the thermometer just shows my usual 97.5. So yes, that is RA. I also have Fibro and that can also make you feel like you have the flu. The Humira never made me feel cold, but I don't have a lot of the drug reactions that some of you do. C

I am surprised the doc is putting you on remicade. After humira and enbrel didn't work for me, my rhuemy suggested by passing remicade because according to my rheumy it was very similar in its make-up to humira. Just something to consider and possibly ask your doc especially with so many other options available?

I really hope you can get on remicade. Everyone I talk to who is on it, including myself, feel that it works great.

It took awhile to get my approvals done, then the remicade comp sets up a program called remi-start. but what that does is pay for a big chunk of it that your ins doesn't cover. So for me, all I pay is 79.00 per infusion. Its a great program. But like I said, it takes awhile for everything to get set up

Thanks everyone! I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I keep having horrible shooting pains in my head from where I had shingles and my hands are in a lot of pain. I have to go up on Prednisone today. I have so much schoolwork today and can't afford to take any pain medication because it makes me so loopy! Please keep me in your prayers. Thanks...HUGS!!!!

I am so sorry that you are feeling so bad at the moment but in the same breath it is wonderful to see your status "It is well with my soul"! One of my very favorite hymns and something to brighten my spirits when I am having one of "those" days!

I am not on the kind of meds you are so I can't offer advice on that. But , my prayers ARE with you. {{{hugs}}}
I do feel feverish though , often and then often when I take my temp, it is not only NOT high, but below normal. go figure. between the RA and menopause (which I thought I was done with but I guess the prednisone has asked it to return) , I just never know what's up.
All I can do is "try" to get out of my own head and keep as busy as I can to not let it rule me. I do not succeed all the time but I know I need to at least try. I often can get out of my own head as I say, by putting on some good music while I do chores etc. It helps as much or more than anything else on the bad days.

You seem to be a positive person so I think you'll be done with this current phase asap. :)

I have a friend who has been on Remicade infusions for quite a while now, and htey work really well for her. Hoping they do the same for you. I noticed a comming thing being said in some of the replies about low body temps. My normal is 97.3. I wonder if that is a trait of people w/RA. Go figure! Blessings, V

Thanks everyone! I've been so busy I haven't had a minute to get any posts in. My daughter is having problems, my schoolwork is increasing, I'm putting a bible study together, trying to workout and help take care of my Mom.....but here's the good news...I have been symptom free for about 2 weeks! Go figure! Anyway all is good and I'm hoping that I won't have to use Remicade and that I may be in a remission! Only time will tell. I hope you all are doing well and hope you have a wonderful day!

Here's my experience to add to the mix: I woke up with very severe chills a couple of days after my 2nd Humira injection. I literally thought I was dying of hypothermia! My whole body was shaking from the cold (my muscles hurt the next day) and my teeth were chattering. My husband covered me with blankets, and after a bit I was burning up. Wasn't at home so didn't have thermometer. I thought for sure I had pneumonia, but next day was OK. I've had one other incident of chills, mild, since then. I've been on Humira 2 months now. It is helping my RA a lot.
