My husband is considering a job change...the only catch is that the new company only offers health insurance thru Cigna. All of our doctors are in-network with Cigna except for my Rheumatologist (who I really like).

I've had BCBS for years and have never had a problem getting authorized for the biologics my dr. recommended, MRI's, knee surgery, etc.

Any reviews from Cigna users?

I've been pleased with cigna. No problems with them preauthorising MRIs and such.

I recently (June) changed insurance to Cigna. My Rhuematoligist was not one of their docs either. This is how it works for me, I pay my Rhuemy for the doc visits, Cigna covers all my Rx, including Orencia. I have not had any problems getting my meds.
All my other docs take Cigna, but I will not change Rhuemys. Talk to your doc about the cash price for an office visit. I was very pleasantly surprised at how reasonable she is!

Lynne - what about bloodwork? Is that covered by insurance or do you pay cash for that as well?

Luckily, I have an appt tomorrow.

Cigna covers bloodworm, tests, imaging, everything except the cost of my Rhuemy visit.
