and the only one that touches my lumbar is my anesthesiologist needle sticker who sticks medicine in under guided imagery.

NO chiros for me ever.

i do like the hot water therapy pool at the Y and I do PT stretches that the PT gave me in physical therapy. the PT's have been great.

my doctors wont allow me to see a chiro everrr and my mothers chiro refuses to work on me anyway RA and chiro treatment dont mix well tho its very helpful for everyone else in my family

I am one of the lucky ones, I guess! I have a dear friend who is a Chiro by profession. He works entirely by a different method, I will have to ask what it is called, He is not a "manipulator" working on "forcing" things into place, or whatever. He works with 9 oz of pressure on pressure points only. I have already gone limping into his office, and able to walk out. Does he take the pain away? No, but he lessens it considerably.I see him once a week because I can have no usual meds because of my kidney disease. I would suggest doing some research in your area to see if you can find one like him.

My girlfriend also has RA. She went to a chiropractor and he actually broke her back. She had to have back surgery after that.

I see a chiropractor - that is what got me through my osteoarthritis in my hips, and now replacements. She is very gentle, not forceful like you hear some do. She knows I have RA, has not made an drastic changes in treatment or manipulations. I've seen her recently for some relief with my foot/ankle issues. Guess may have to check with my rheumy next week on her opinion.
