Hi All, I have a doctor out in the West Burbs that I have been seeing for the last 9 months; since I've been diagnosed and we are at a stand still. Since day 1 he has been adamant about only prescribing tramadol for pain and when I'm still in pain thats too bad. My CRP number has jumped from 6.7 when I first went to him up to 41.2 and feel like I am more sick now than when I first started going to him. Also, I moved from the South Burbs up to the Northside, so my drive to see him went from 15 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes. This could just be me being really cranky because I'm extremely sore and fatigued but I would love to hear from people that wouldn't mind giving a doctors referral in the Chicagoland area.

I'm in the north shore area, but Dr. Capezio of North Shore Rheumatology or Dr. Arnold of Orthopedics and Rheumatology of the North Shore. They might be far, but worth the drive! Best of luck to you!

I see Dr. Palella of the Rheumatic Disease Center in Des Plaines. He is very compassionate and I never feel rushed during my appointment. The only thing I had to learn was if I wanted a question answered between appointments or if I need an emergency appointment, I ask to speak with Liz (his nurse). She will return calls within a couple of hours at the most.

I have a friend that sees Dr. Eisenberg at Illinois Bone & Joint (Des Plaines & Morton Grove offices). She sees him for Lupus and really likes him.
