A lot of people get joint stiffness and a warm shower or bath in the morning seems to relieve that stiffness.
I've noticed that I can get the same relief from two cups of coffee. It must really get my blood moving and send warmth to my hands and feet.
Yesterday, I went to the rheum. and didn't drink coffee in case I needed blood work and so my bp didn't elevate beyond my normal *white coat* level. Had a terrible headache this morning (which I rarely get since taking magnesium) and it must have been caffeine withdrawal. I've downed two cups faster than normal and my hands love the effect. (headache almost gone too)
Anyone else have a vascular effect benefit their stiff joints?

I haven't noticed a difference, but I haven't really ever paid attention.
Holding the hot mug with both hands first thing in the morning feels great on them though.
