Burning Pain

Hi all. Most of my pain has been intense joint pain, but on sunday through Tuesday of this week I had different pain that felt like my hands were on fire. pain on sunday I would say hit a 9 out 10. Would you describe your pain as fire-like?

Yes I too have fire in my joints... My hands have been really bad lately. The fire along with needles sticking me. As Jen said heat helps me the best also... plus I do wear compression gloves to bed every night.

That was part of my first bought with RA. The burning pain. Still get it now and then, but not constant like before. Am on Orencia by infusion. Best of luck to you.

most here better at this than I but guessing from experience that you make be having the inflammation spread to the layer that surrounds tendons/muscle. yeah that burns, sore to touch, to not touch, to move, etc.

I get this but I also have neuropathy. Other then shattered vertebrae most painful thing I've experienced. I can see where it would climb that pain scale.
Perhaps informing your doctor, especially with that pain severity. Not fun to deal with no matter the cause.
I brace my hands during this time. There are night splints that seem to help. Bulky & padded but it works.
Steroids for inflammation calmed mine down till we found cause & a more long acting solution.
Feel for you. If it gets any worse put a call into your doctor.
