Ha! Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about.
My wife has always told me that if I get stuck in a nursing home for some reason, I'm would definitely get bed sores on my back side.
Because I can't work out with weights, two months ago I joined a gym that has classes in a warm pool for people with arthritis issues. The two classes that I attend regularly are 'Strength and Balance' and 'Simple Stretching'.
When I'm able, I do "push-ups" using the kitchen counter, a doorway, my office desk, etc... And, less frequently, I do squats if I can. Usually, I do less than ten but I figure it has to help in some way.
