blisters vs. acne

I am not sure what is going on with my face and head. I usually get a red rash over my cheeks from my lupus, but the last couple weeks I have gotten small pimples over my cheeks, forehead and scalp with instead of clearing up have turned into almost blisters on my forehead and scalp. I started plaquenil and methotrexate but have been on them for about 2 months now with no problems. I have an appoitment with a dermatologist (sp?) today but I am concerned, I need these meds but one having this on my head is very uncomfortable especially when brushing and shampooing my hair, and I am so embaressed with this on my face....I hope I get some answers today....anyone have any similar experiences?

Have you talked to your GP about this? Could be either an allergic reaction or an infection. Praying for you! God Bless.

I haven't only the rheumy who advised me to go to the dermatologist...so if they don't know why this happened that will be my next step

I know you can get the flsh you referred to with lupus but am unfamilar with what you are e3xperiencing. I have been on almost all the RA drugs available and not had this happen. Let us know what the doctor says. Good luck.

I had something like that happen to me also.

I had some white pimple looking things come up on my chin and around my mouth.

My rheaumy said it was acne brought on by my meds. It finaly cleared up, Thank God.

Hope yours gets better too.

thats basically what the dr said drug related, not an allergy so basically suck it up hope it clears up and he will see me back in 6 wks :( really hoping it gets better, its so bad right now I dont even want to look in a mirror.
