Biologics / Embrel / and fatigue

I've taken Embrel for over a year now. But like I suspected, my doctor told me that it is no longer working.


But my question is... does taking the biologic make any of you depressed and left without any energy at all for a few days?


I've noticed that after I take the shot on Friday, for the next two days (especially on Saturday), I am extremely depressed and have NO energy. For the past few weekends, I have been completely waylaid in bed for several days after the shot and extremely depressed.


Does the biologic shot effect any of you this way? 


I now have a yeast infection and I am starting treatment for that today. So next weekend I will not give myself a shot... and I might notice a difference in depression and severe fatigue.


What are YOUR experiences w/ biologics? ty in advance

no affect on my sunny disposition whatsoever. Oh failing a biologic as when it becomes useless pisses me off. and getting reactions - well I go to my padded cell and scream when I have a reaction and some family favorites were the boils with actemra and the wacked out blood counts and the epi pen with the rituxan. but all the other biologics? no. zip. the only thing that affects me fatigue wise is methotrexate and then only for a specified period in the week. if i have swollen joints then I am tired 24/7 - if the joints are down and normal then I don't have fatigue. that's just the disease for me, and it is permanent. i can't remember when I did not have this - so it is my normal. it's OK to keep moving when I am tired - nothing happens to me - I'm just slower well more like way slow. well so slow that people don't want to walk with me. their loss. laughing.

BOILS?!?!?!!!! Are you kidding me? I will be starting that med soon. Ok, I'll add that to my things to watch for... boils. Geez....

I did the whole Rituxan-is-keeping-me-from-breathing thing too. What fun! Those nurses sure can run quickly...

My biologics don't cause depression. They do cause a flu-like fatigue that goes beyond my normal fatigue. 36 - 48 hours later and I am back to 'normal'. I don't really feel like getting dressed or going out, but I don't call that depression and I don't want to hurt myself or feel like my life is hopeless. I just feel sick and realize it is a transitional situation. If you are feeling anything more than that, maybe you should mention it to your doctor.
