After eleven wonderful days with my best friend/wife Debbie and about 2500 miles of driving we arrived home safely. I did really well with all the walking I did around Disney and was able to relax on the beach for a few days afterwards and I think that did wonders for me as far as swelling. My ankles did swell at Disney but I fought thru it and motored on.... :) I did skip the my doze of meds for one week and it had little effect.
Had a doctors appointment the very next day we got home and it went well. I had several questions about some concerns I've had and the doctor did an awesome job of explaining to both of us about how my body is like a storm right now and how wacky my immune system is at this time. I don't see it but my wife says she thinks I'm depressed. The doc said this was normal, with all that is going on with changes in my body. He offered antidepressants but I told him, I didn't think I needed them right now. Left that on the table and talked about other changes I've noticed and again, all these things are normal and comes with the RA. Without going into detail, lets just say it's a man thing and we men fear that day would come at some point. Again it's something that I just have to deal with and it to is connected to RA. Seems everything that is going on inside can be attributed to this terrible disease.
I've tried to catch up some post and have read alot of them on the first page.....Just know that all of you were in my prayers while I was away. I was actually looking forward to returning just so I could get on the board and see what's going on. :)

Nothing beats making good memories.
Huge worry when I plan or attempt vacations.
I agree it is a "whacky disease". I also agree with the "man" thing. See it with my husband.
As far as the depression goes it would be very hard not to go there from time to time. Every day life has its challenges. Add a life changing disease in the mix & well.....We just do our best.
Beach sounds wonderful. Love to bury these sore feet in warm sand.
