As for maple syrup and sweet potatoes, Not odd at all. That's how my mother made them every Thanksgiving....with tiny marshmallows on top (in case it wasn't sweet enough already - haha)
Kimhurts, good point about the tumeric. When I was first diagnosed all my friends convinced me to make and use gold paste (LOL Ironically these friends used it for their horses - makes me wonder what they thought I was - LOL hopefully just in pain! ).
I do recall once I got started on DMARDs I did have to quit the gold paste. It helped but like you said it didn't seem to jive with the DMARD I was on at the time.
Ironically I am back on it whilst I am on this medication intermission and it does take a bit of the edge off. Just wish things could play nicely together!
