What cocktail are you taking?
I have tried so so many supplements! Here's what hasn't worked for me and the length of time I tried them out:
Polypodium Leucotomos: 4 months
N-acytle cystine: 3 months
HAluronic acid: 4 months
Here's what made the biggest difference in my RA and how long it takes for them to work:
Serracor-NK: 2 months to start working, 6 months to really make a substantial difference
Low Dose Naltrexone-LDN: totally depends and changes for the person. Took 3 months for me for it to really change the way my lungs and ribs felt, reduced a lot of inflammation all over as well.
Other products I've tried that make a noticeable but minor difference:
Elations: works after 1 month of drinking one a day... I stopped drinking them though because I was worried about the sucralose
SAMe: notices a difference only in my mood after taking it for two weeks, taking the higher dosage. Results disappeared when I took the normal, lower doses.
Airborn tablets: really good for when you're in a flare. You can find cheaper versions. Taking the high doses of vitamin C does reduce your inflammation a little.
Then of course I've tried so many more and there's lots of supplements that I know do make a small difference....whether I feel the difference in a huge way or not is less important.
I can tell you that fish oil and vitamin E do work, but they're blood thinners so keep that in mind and even vitamin E can take up to four months to really show changes. It can get tiring taking so many supplements, which is why I stick to the first two I mentioned...because they worked the best (for me).
There's also antibiotics...I have not taken them, but it's always a good one to consider, in my opinion.

Sarah
I have NEVER been a believer in alternative/natural medicine, but am becoming more of a believer in their roles in nutrition and health.
