Not sure if I'm describing this correctly but sometimes when I take an anti-inflammatory for a completely different reason than RA the next few days I feel like I'm experiencing a mini flare up? For instance, I took 500mg (1 tablet) Aleve on Wednesday for a stiff/sore back. Back was fine the next day but by the end of the day, right pinky finger felt inflammed, not swollen, not read, not stiff just pain level of 3 out of 10.
I know I didn't hit my finger on accident or what not so I'm wondering has anyone else every experienced this kind of "hangover" from an anti-inflammatory? Hangover is probably the wrong way to describe it but I can't think of any other word or description for it.
My guess is that your finger hurt at some low level BEFORE you took the Aleve.....then when the Aleve cleared your system, you REALLY felt the finger pain.
Well, it's funny now that pinky finger pain is completely gone & it's in my elbow same arm! LOL! I swear it's like RA won't stop until it finds something or someplace to mess with us somehow!
One gets whacked down and then another pops up.
