I've not worn my wedding ring since about 2 weeks after my diagnosis. It barely came off but I got it off and put it in the safe for the last year.
Today, as my 16th wedding anniversary approaches in 2 weeks, we got it out and took it to the jewelers.
My fingers aren't swollen now, but my ring finger middle joint is larger than it was, never to return to a size 7 again. I'm getting it sized to an 8. I thinki I can easily work with an 8, as long as swelling doesn't come back. I don't have full expectations to get to wear it daily, but I'm so excited to wear it at all!
Overall, I know this is part of the RA process - the part that tugs at the heart strings.
But, I want as much PRE-RA me as I can get, so I'll go with the new size and be happy!

Hope the size 8 works for you. I'm still in a 7 - although before RA I was a perfect 6.
I have a lovely jeweler who does all of his own work. He put a new bail on my engagement ring when we had it sized. It was my grandmother's (similar to this: http://www.circa1930s.com/c30shop/engring/ew350/ew350-set.htm)
He has done custom work for my brother and a close friend of mine.
If it gets to that point with me, I will bee doing something like a pendant.
