Kuroineko, I've asked that same question. And, I agree, RA can make life difficult. Do you have a good Rheumy who can help find the right combination of meds to give you a better quality of life? I go through stages. At times due to the right meds, I can manage alright, then I can have some bad days. However, the more I learn about RA, I find routines that help improve my quality of life. I like the warm therapy pool it helps manage the symptoms. I also use herbal Arnica rubs that dials down the pain. It's definitely a Journey with peaks and valleys. I hope you find the right combination for you and you start feeling better soon. And I also wish that none of us had RA, but I've found that magical thinking just does not work, darn!

Everyone has something and I can think a lot of other disorders, emotional and physical that are far worse. We may just not know what they have as most are invisible but they have them.

Just be glad the researchers are hot on the trail of finding a cure and with biologics, can put people into remission for a while. I got Ra when there was little they could do to treat it. Now, there is hope of remission and even a cure in the not to distant future.

You have RA but don't let RA have you. Trite but true.

I had a really bad pain day yesterday, and I have been having similar thoughts. I know there are other things that are worse, but I have to say I think severe RA is up near the top. If you can get the meds to work, then things can be pretty good, but things are pretty hopeless right now for me about getting back to feeling half decent. Plus I am getting pretty bad hand deformities, and my feet are already off the charts in that category.

Anyway, sorry to be so negative. I like to be a positive force here, but I have just about given up hope at this point.

Sorry you had to find this group of absolutely wonderful folks, but glad you did. You are in a safe place where you vent, cry, curse, question and seek solid advice.

Understand completely! Yesterday and today have been pain days where even the pain pills just aren't doing what they normally do. No sleep last night and hoping to get some this afternoon as we have out of town friends stopping for a quick dinner as they pass through our area. Usually my Orencia does a great job. Hoping this doesn't mean it is not doing it's job as well as normal. Hope you find some relief soon. This is the site you need to come to with your vents, info and whatever else you want to say. This is a great group of people and I thank God that I found this site! Gentle hugs.

I think I have a good rheumy. He has helped a lot in terms of getting me the right treatment. He put into a drug trial a few years ago and it helped so much. From not being able to get out of bed to being able to in a couple of days. Now the meds I'm in work I guess just sometimes get unbearable pain in some of my joins like my knee where I have to use a crutch, which doesn't always help. :(
