But if the pain is worse than other areas, or becoming unbearable, see your Rheumy. It is possible to have a corticosteriod (sp) shot, which may do wonders. I had one in my back a few months ago that helped me much more than I expected.
And there could be a more serious problem, but again that would be causeing (I think) serious pain. Stiffness is usually due to inflammation.

I still walk the dogs 2 x a day with pain, so I hope the pred will help soon.
I'm waiting to have met my deductible so I can go see the Rheumy. Enbrel helped for 3 years and put me in remission ,but I think Im goin back to square one.

Example...I had 4 molars 2 on each side on top of mouth waiting to be pulled....I had such continuous pain that I was ready to bang head against the wall..called both docs and they both refered me back to the other...no pain meds...finally had the first 2 pulled 9 days later... never again....I will hunt them both down for those meds...they were both "schocked" that I did not have meds... i could go on but it gives you an idea....yeh r.a. is brutal sometimes..hope you have a better day today
