Hello. I have been so grateful to all of you on this site. I have come here to find answers, get support, get understanding and having a place i belonged. I have been on prednisone for 6 months, plaquenil for 5.5 months, and methotrexate shots for 5 months. My symptom that took me out of work was hip pain and lower back spasms whenever i was on my feet. Nothing seemed to help. Now, i finally can say that my medicine regime is working!!! It sort of happened all at once. So now i am reapplying for a job. i finally cut my prednisone in half. now taking 5 mg. after a 30 pound weight gain. So to all of you who are still waiting patiently for your medicine to work Sometimes it takes six months. Thank you to everyone who has supported me when i have posted. Marcia

I really couldn't be more happy for you. It has got to be fantastic to feel so much better that you are now ready to enter the workforce.

On the flip side, I've been working full time and my boss called me into his office yesterday and asked if I had ever given it any thought to reducing my hours at work. I'm a little crushed as I thought I was keeping up except that I don't walk well or very fast. And, my work product has been top notch.
But, I'm super happy for you. I love good news!
