okay so i've been off mtx for just over two weeks and off enbrel for almost three weeks. i've definitely noticed a bit more stiffness and pain in the last few days, i'm guessing as the mtx has fully cleared out of my system.
now tonight i've been having some excellent pains. all on my left side (so far). my left shoulder and wrist are always worse than the right, but my left shoulder has been extra icky for a couple of days. the inner side of my left knee and just under the front of my knee has been bothering me (I'm not good at explaining that, it's kind of a generalized pain). i was sitting here minding my own business and suddenly it felt like really sharp pins were being jabbed into my wrist, like INSIDE my wrist! and moments later, in my left big toe and the base of the second and third toes! ow ow ow!
the wrist pain has subsided and is back to 'normal' (lol) but my toe still hurts a lot more than 'normal'. does this happen? sudden, stabby pains? like, that sudden?

You summed up my current state of mind... " i'm continually surprised and angry at the ridiculousness that rheumatoid disease presents."
Feels like any joint at any time may jump on board the pain game.

making its way across the front of my ankles , then the pain expands through the joint and stays, so far a few days at a time. I usually wrap them up, particularly if I'm going to be on my feet any length of time and it helps a lot.
steph i am sorry you have been in an unmedicated sequence while having an infection.
i often have this in my ankles, i also use ankle wraps beech I just suck at putting them on. what brand do you have the wrap around velcro or the pull on?
