Its been over a week now. I thought by now i would not hurt as much emotionally. Yet....i still do. My heart hurts for the three girls who lost their mother...for the siblings that lost their sister, for the parents that lost their daughter and for the people who lost a friend. In other news. I currently have a rash beginning to spread on my face which is lovely. I get it every summer for no apparent reason. We used to think it was posion ivy. Then maybe i was allgeric to something in school as it never failed to happen during band camp when i was outside for 6+ hours a day. So we cane to the conclusion it was probably sun...but i do not go outside for long or at all if i can help it..maybe it is the sun All i know is my face is swelling and it hurts and is itchy.

As for the rash that happens every band camp: look for some consistent things that change from your normal routine. Do you start eating out at the same place? Do you start drinking sodas/sports drinks that you don't normally drink everyday? Are you putting on sunscreen daily - and you usually don't? Candy bars from snack machine?
I've noticed that there's many things that I can eat/drink in small amounts every now a then. But if I up that amount (say two sodas instead of just a sip of daughter's) - I'll hurt.

I've been to the ER for the exact same rash before and they generally tell me its Posion Ivy...Though i dont think tahts the case its not weepy or anywhere else on my body just right there and it spreads upwards over the course of a week to my face / eyelids..which is awesome.
I called my Rheumatologist office she is not in the office on fridays, so the secratery will give her the message on MOnday and call me by Monday afternoon with an idea on what to do. I imagine i will be squeezed in some where.
All i can say is its painful and itchy at the exact same time. So i go often without a top on. Its my house i can if i want too ^.^ and i use cool water on it to help calm down the itchiness and pain.
Benedryl and benedryl cream doesnt help at all. The cream makes it burn like crazy. So yeah.
Just don't forget and open your door or go outside without your shirt :)
