Just checkin in. Haven't had much signal for wifi been in Gods Country. Montana is as beautiful as always! I generally feel better here although some storms have rolled through and put a hurt on me. It has snowed up in the mountains. SO PRETTY. Dr upped my mtx to 7 a week. I was nauseas for 3 days! I don't want to go back to shots so I will try to tough it out. I have had terrible swelling in my ankles. And pain but not red. And my tendons around both ankles feel like they keep snapping almost like a quick sprain then it get better and does it again I bought ankle braces( gonna have a funny tan line) anyone else get this? Is it the RA? Take care all of you wishing you many blessings.

Hi Kimberly. So sorry to hear about your sore ankles. I have never had sore ankles I am lucky. It sounds very uncomfortable. I know what you mean abouthe mtx. It can make one feel pretty rotten. Take it easy and relax if you can.

Probably that snow affecting your ankles? Just think you could be in Az where it is in the 100s :)

Funny you should mention swollen ankles. I had my veins stripped two years ago because of huge swelling of lower legs and feet. Angry red and very painfull swelling at the end of the day.

Fast forward to this February-March and my feet are swelling again. I attributed it to starting Humira around the same time, but when I mentioned it to my rheumy in May he sent me back to the cardiologist.

The cardiologist reduced (reduced!) one ingredient in my b/p med and it's gotten a lot better. So the moral of the story is, mention it to the next doc you see and let them direct you from there. Who knows what the cause may be?

I have Montana on my bucket list, but I need to find out when is the best time of year to go there. I have not had ankle swelling, Thank God, and actually I have not heard that as being a complaint from people with RA, to me it sounds like a cardiac issue. I would recommend mentioning it to your PCP , as well as your rheumatologist and see where they direct you. I wish you the best

Would love to visit Montana. Always hoped one day I can. Then I'd like to see Britain to & I rarely make it past the next town.
My ankles can have the snapping like pain but not swelling.
I'd also use caution & get that out.
Better safe then sorry.
