Hells bells, the 2nd x-ray showed I still have pneumonia. Going into 3rd week with no RA meds and I'm feelin it. Just did a high resolution chest x-ray last night and have an appt with rheumy Tuesday. The eye thing is still a mystery they did a carotid artery ultrasound it came back clear so now I'm scheduled for a echo-cardiogram of the heart to make sure I am not throwing clots. Boy, are we having fun yet??? I just want my drugs!
I also don't want to end up like Glenn Frey, so whatever I have to do I will do. Hope everyone's weekend is sparkling. Trish

Well, if that is not a POOH ... when are you gonna get rid of that phew moan ya. I am glad you are not up in the NE right now - just too gal-dang cold.

I used to get pneumonia all time when my asthma was out of control. I'd go into the hospital and be on IV antibiotics only to go home and the X-ray report would come in a day later showing I still had pneumonia! Finally figured out I was allergic to the asthma med I was using and it was causing all the fluid in my chest that then got infected.

As for the eyes....has anyone tried an MRI or MRA (for angiogram)? Mine turned out to be a very tiny stroke in the cerebellum that messed up my vision big time. CT, X-rays, carotid ultasound and echo-cardiogram were all negative. Sometimes the real tiny ones are hard to find but it makes all the difference.

Wow~ I'm sorry the pneumonia is persisting. Sure hope they have upped your antibiotic.

No antibiotics yet. I just finished a 14 day stint, that night the x-ray and now??? I just wish someone would figure something out! I'm more than a little weary of not feeling good. I have grand-kids that I adore and I want to continue having fun with them. So forward we march. Tris

I am sorry you are not in the clear yet

I am going with my best friend who has RA also, to a smoke ending class this wed as her moral support.

I am hoping something sticks. she has been a pack a day for 40 years. she voluntarily took herself off her biologic, simponi, this winter, because it gave her a bad winter pneumonia last year and she hates fighting the winter ones over the summer and spring ones.

I hope you are on the mend, and starting to be able to lift your head up, get out of bed, etc.

Yes, the Glenn Frey thing has really got me thinking! It hit me hard, and so I am going to take extra special care of myself!
