Well I finally admitted to myself and to my doctor that I was depressed. Why because I felt trapped in my body. I can't do the things I used to do. If we go out by noon I'm exhausted. The pain in my feet and my hands never go away and I feel worn down. He prescribed Cymbalta instead of Celebrex for the pain and depression. Surprise after one day on the stuff I actually feel better. I hope this trend keeps up. The pain has actually subsided. It's not all gone but I'll take what I can get. Anyone else on this drug. I'm praying the longer I take it the better I'll feel

Hi didyann. Sorry to hear you aren't feeling so great. My Dr. told me that having a chronic illness for a long period of time can trigger depression and indeed it did happen to me last fall. I am not on the drug you are on but can certainly relate. Hang in there. The first step admitting you feel depressed is a really important one. It'll get better. Keep us updated. :)

I've heard of people getting some relief with Cymbalta.
Depression can cause or enhance pain levels so makes sense that if it helps one it may help the other.
Can't take anti depressants but sure glad it's helping with you.
I'm curious to see if you continue to have some relief. Sure hope it does. Great to find something that works.
