I just looked at Vectra's website. 30 to 44 is moderate, 45 to 100 is high, just as you say. I'm not familiar with an EGF test, unless this is the kidney function test.

Did this same rheumy order the Vectra test? Has she ever ordered on before? Is she dyslexic and thought 44 was the LOW end of the moderate range? Did she ask you how you are feeling? Do your symptoms match up with the Vectra score? Finally, is she just plain dumb?

I was told the same thing... it was my diabetes because all my blood work was negative...I have been sero negative for 20+ years but just one month later my CCP was 130 so it was RA after all. But my blood sugars have been running a bit higher for about one year but still good... started RA meds and now my blood sugars are back to where they a year ago. Both are autoimmune diseases so Orencia should help both...so why stop it

was the orencia helping? have you obtained copies of all your bloodwork? egf... perhaps the egfr? that's a test of kidney function...

if the orencia was helping and the rheumy stopped it, i would call tomorrow and obtain copies of all your recent blood work and tests and call another rheumy asap.

She thinks I'm in remission. Also the Orencia has made me gain 15 pounds. With my history of Extremely high triglycerides it's a balancing act. She wants to put me on Ariva . I was on it a while back but it did Liver damage so she took me off. I guess she wants to try again. I have to admit I do feel much better now. Stephgas there isn't another R.A. dr for at least 75 miles and it takes about 6 mths to get an apt. I'll just pray that the Good Lord will direct her with me.

I would tell her you don't want the Arava. If it cause liver problems before. When I was offered Arava in the past I did not take it. I read that it can stay in your liver for 2 years. You have to take another medicine to get it out of your liver. It made me sick to my stomach when I took it so I stopped the first week. I told my doctor that I will not take anything that makes me feel sick to my stomach. I would no be able to work like that. Enbrel does not make me sick at all. It's really puzzling why she would take you off the Orencia. Obviously it was working it you are in remission. The meds are what keeps the inflammation down

I have been sero negative for around ten years except for sed rate. My aunt and grandpa were the same way. I am currently on Enbrel injections weekly and plaquenil twice daily and my rheumatologist says I am in remission right now. But I have fibro as well, so I am still in a lot of pain.
