I will probably take it from now on. It helps me sleep, deal with pain, the flares, insomnia, anxiety..... my doctor has lupus and really understood.
It's not a cure all. I do yoga, Jacuzzis, and Many other things to cope.....but it has been a life saver for me. I don't worry about it one bit.

On the other hand it is a great anti-anxiety med. Better than the rest because it lasts longer and the risk of rebound anxiety is not there as it would be should you be using xanax instead. Maybe there is a correlation between anxiety and pain? I personally believe there is a correlation with the quantity and quality of sleep we get and pain. If it has improved your sleep that much then I guess your improved rest is helping with your pain.
I don't believe Klonopin has any muscle relaxant properties. Valium, also an ant-anxiety benzodiazepine, does have muscle relaxant properties. On the other hand valium and klonopin are related so maybe it does relax your muscles a bit. I never experienced that but I have a fairly high tolerance to it.
