I cannot remember, what else do they have you on besides Remicade and Pred? ANy other DMARDs?

So frustrating. I'm wondering if this front that just pushed through had anything to do with how you're feeling

I'm right with ya, it's hard to stay positive when nothing seems to be working! Plus, I'm starting to think the prednisone is making me grouchy... I'm not my normal perky self lately. Or maybe it's just the pain... phew, venting does feel good! Hope you feel better soon!!!

Feel better soon! I'm impressed that you can work out, that's a good sign.

Sorry life's not treating you better!! I too am all over the place with my RA. I think I mentioned that I am being monitored for MS too. Anyway, whatever it is I am not a happy camper!!

Here in MN we have gone from 50s at the beginning of the month to 20 below zero....... It is extremely windy tonight with the windchill way below zero. I cannot take it HELP!!!! Hehe

Ugh, I feel the same. I swear I hurt from head to toes. Its always something. Still looking for what will help with mine also.
Long process & frustrating finding what medications are going to help each person. Frustrating seems to be my favorite word lately.
My ankle is really bothering me, just the last 3 days. Feels like it wants to just give out. Hard to stay on your feet when putting weight on it makes it more painful.

Good to hear from those that are getting relief. Gives the rest of us hope.
Keep our fingers crossed & pray there is something out there that will help us get the relief we so need & deserve.

Thank you so much! Rosie...I'm just on Remicade and Prednisone. MTX made my hair fall out and extreme nausea. The other DMARD's had bad side effects too. I'm calling my DR tomorrow. I don't know about the weather. I get cold so easily now but I'm not sure how, or if, it affects my RA. Thanks for all the support everyone!!

Lifeis2short, I am so sorry to hear about the rough time you are going through. Sounds like you have given Remicade a good chance. Have you thought about Orencia or Actemra? I have heard people on boards saying they had good results with Orencia, it just takes a while. I think I could wait a few months if I had hopes the medication would help. Better than fooling around with other medications for months and still no relief.

I have now taken the fourth shot of enbrel. I had forgotten how easy they were and how much they hurt! But with this fourth shot, the allergic reaction of red face,little swelling in face and little itchiness is coming back. That is the reason I changed from enbrel nine months ago. Now after all I have gone through to find another biologic to work, the red face, itchiness does not seem all that bad. Taking allegra to see if this will help. Benadryl barely touches it.

Hard to tell how well enbrel is working since I am still on 7.5mg prednisone. Going to come down in a few weeks so we will see how effective enbrel is now. I think I can deal with the allergic reaction if enbrel does work.

Good luck to you! You are allowed to have a pity party. Keep on trying. I try to move forward with a new plan to take care of whatever is going wrong at the time. Example: was walking to feel better while on prednisone and keep weight down and I have gone and fractured my foot. lol I can tell what a positive person you are. There is a medication out there that was made for you!

Well, life IS too short, darn it! I feel the same way right now. Just stuck, getting worse, nothing working yet, totally discouraged. I too am so burned out on trying to figure out what is making my RA worse. Maybe it's just the disease going on it's merry way...

But we have to keep our chins up! Especially those of us on prednisone!!!

We have had rain/fog here for four days. My fourth enbrel shot did bring on the red, slightly swollen face. Benadryl does not touch so I took 90mg allegra. That worked.

Hopefully, the weather will become drier and everyone will feel better again.

Lifeis2Short, perhaps your RA just needs some extra remicade to put it back in its place. I really do think that the RA is like a monster and rises up and becomes stronger when we take biologic especially after shot/infusion. I hope over time your RA will settle down after Remicade has been in your system for awhile. At least, that's how I like to think about it. Good luck to you!
